Short Meaning

A humble request to Allah to make the seven circuits of Tawaf easy and accept them as an act of worship.

Detailed Explanation

1. اللَّهُمَّ — “O Allah” The du‘a begins by calling upon Allah, the One who created and owns everything. It reminds the pilgrim that the ability to perform Tawaf, worship sincerely, and complete the pilgrimage is ultimately granted by Allah. 2. إِنِّي أُرِيدُ — “Indeed, I intend” This expresses the pilgrim’s intention and determination to perform Tawaf. The word urīdu means “I intend” or “I desire.” It reflects the importance of approaching worship with a sincere heart and seeking Allah’s pleasure. 3. طَوَافَ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ — “Tawaf of Your Sacred House” Tawaf means circumambulating the Ka‘bah in worship. The phrase Baytika al-Haram means “Your Sacred House.” The pilgrim turns toward the Ka‘bah and performs Tawaf as an act of obedience and devotion to Allah alone. 4. سَبْعَةَ أَشْوَاطٍ — “Seven circuits” This refers to completing seven rounds around the Ka‘bah. Each complete circuit is called a shawt (شَوْط). The seven circuits together constitute Tawaf. The pilgrim performs them with humility, remembrance of Allah, and sincere devotion. 5. فَيَسِّرْهُ لِي — “So make it easy for me” This is a beautiful request for Allah to make the worship easy and manageable. During Tawaf, there may be crowds, tiredness, heat, physical difficulty, or other challenges. The pilgrim therefore asks Allah for strength, patience, safety, and ease. It also reminds us that every act of worship depends upon Allah’s help. 6. وَتَقَبَّلْهُ مِنِّي — “And accept it from me” This is perhaps the most important part of the supplication. Completing Tawaf physically is one thing, but the believer hopes that Allah will accept the worship. Acceptance depends upon sincerity and following the prescribed manner of worship. Therefore, the pilgrim asks Allah to accept the Tawaf, forgive shortcomings, and reward the effort. 🌿 Overall Message This du‘a combines three beautiful qualities: Intention → Seeking Ease → Seeking Acceptance It teaches the pilgrim to begin Tawaf with a sincere intention, depend upon Allah for strength and ease, and ultimately ask Allah to accept the worship. Important note: This wording is a supplication expressing intention and asking for ease and acceptance; it should not be treated as a specifically prescribed Prophetic formula for beginning Tawaf. There is no single mandatory du‘a that must be recited throughout Tawaf. During Tawaf, a pilgrim may make sincere du‘a, dhikr, and other permissible supplications.
