Muzdalifah is one of the three sacred sites of Hajj, located between Arafat and Mina, about 10 km from Masjid al-Haram. After sunset on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, pilgrims travel from Arafat to Muzdalifah, where they perform the combined Maghrib and Isha prayers, spend the night in worship under the open sky, and collect pebbles for the ritual of Ramy al-Jamarat in Mina. Staying overnight (Mabit) in Muzdalifah is one of the obligatory rites of Hajj.
